Born in Clamart, in the parisian suburb. Barbara will discover for the first time Poggio di Venaco in Corsica, her father’s village.
1984
At 10, she’s discovering « La Notte, La Notte » from french singer Etienne Daho. She falled in love.
1988/1993
Barbara’s becoming familiar with french poetry, Charles Baudelaire, Bob Dylan, Nina Simone and Rachmaninov piano works.
1993
In October, she wrote in her intimate diary : « I want to become a singer ». Start to take singing lessons.
1998
First show as dancer with contemporary troop Compagnie des Prairies.
Study lyrical art with Eva Saurova at Issy-Les-Moulineaux national school of music.
2002
Recording of 4 songs in collaboration with Grégoire Hetzel for Emmanuel Bourdieu’s « Le Vert Paradis » movie soundtrack.
Appearance as dancer in the movie « Mod’s » by Serge Bozon & Axelle Ropert, choregraphy created by Julie Desprairies.
2003/2004
First gigs, with Jean-Pierre Petit & M.Untel
Meet Bertrand Burgalat (french producer and arranger, who worked with Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Supergrass and so many others), who agreed to arrange two of her songs.
First EP « Chansons’, in autoproduction.
2005
« Chansons » re-release, through the parisian label Microbe.
2d prize at « Trophée de la chanson française » orgnaized by french national radio network France Bleu.
2006
Publishing deal with EMI
Licence deal with Dependant / 4AD
First album « Les lys brisés », awarded by Académie Charles Cros.
The single « Cannes » became a classic and has even been used as score of the Canal + TV show / « Le Grand Journal » during the Cannes movie festival in 2006 and 2007.
Recording of the duet « Et Paul chantait yesterday », which is appearing on Michel Delpech « & » platinum record.
Recording of the duet « L’aube posée », which is appearing on Bertrand Belin’s album « La Perdue ».
2007
« Les lys brisés » tour : over 60 gigs in France and 10 outside her homeland (Lausanne, London, Brighton, New York, Francofolies de Montreal…).

Recording of the concept album « Imbécile » from Olivier Libaux (Nouvelle Vague), with JP Nataf, Philippe Katerine and Hélène Noguerra. The record leaded to a musical, with the participation of Barbara Carlotti.
2008
Recording and release of the critically acclaimed new album « L’idéal », produced by Jean-Philippe Verdin (ReadyMade FC), with Jean-Paul Gonnod and Pierrick Devin as sound engineers. Mehdi Zannad (aka Fugu) wrote the chords arrangements.
